Recovery notifications

A recovery notification is sent when a monitor that was DOWN comes back UP. This lets you know the issue has resolved without having to check the dashboard manually.

How to enable recovery notifications

In the monitor form, toggle Alert on recovery to on. This is enabled by default for new monitors. Recovery notifications are sent via the same channels you have configured for down alerts — email, Slack, and/or SMS.

What the recovery notification includes

The recovery notification includes the monitor name, the time the service came back up, and the total duration of the outage from first failure to recovery.

If you only want to be alerted when something goes down and not when it recovers, simply turn off the Alert on recovery toggle.
