Email alerts
Email alerts are the simplest way to be notified when a monitor goes down or recovers. They are available on all plans, including the free trial.
How to set up email alerts
- Open the monitor form (either when creating a new monitor or by editing an existing one).
- Enter an email address in the Alert email field.
- Save the monitor.
You can enter any valid email address — it does not have to be the same address you used to sign up. This is useful if you want alerts to go to a shared team inbox or a ticketing system.
What the alert email contains
When a monitor goes DOWN, you will receive an email with the monitor name, the type of check that failed, the URL or host being monitored, the error message, and the time the failure was detected.
When the monitor recovers, you will receive a recovery email (if recovery notifications are enabled) with the monitor name, the time it came back up, and the total duration of the outage.
Check your spam folder
If you are not receiving alert emails, check your spam or junk folder. Add 24x7@bissano.com.au to your contacts or safe senders list to ensure delivery.
