What is Alive24x7?
Alive24x7 is an uptime monitoring service that watches your websites, APIs, servers, and infrastructure around the clock — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The moment something goes down, you receive an alert by email, Slack, or SMS so you can act before your customers notice.
What Alive24x7 monitors
Alive24x7 supports seven different monitor types, each designed to catch a different kind of failure. You can monitor a website's HTTP response, check that a specific word or phrase appears on a page, verify a TCP port is open, ping a server, track your SSL certificate expiry date, and detect unexpected changes to your DNS records.
| Monitor type | What it checks |
|---|---|
| HTTP / HTTPS | Your website or API returns a successful response (status 200–299) |
| Keyword | A specific word or phrase is present (or absent) on a page |
| TCP Port | A port on your server is open and accepting connections |
| Ping (ICMP) | A server or network device responds to a ping |
| SSL Certificate | Your SSL certificate is valid and not about to expire |
| DNS | Your DNS records match the values you expect |
How it works
Alive24x7 runs checks at regular intervals — as frequently as every 30 seconds on Pro and Team plans. Each check is recorded in your history. If a check fails, an incident is opened and an alert is sent. When the service recovers, a recovery notification is sent and the incident is closed with the total downtime duration recorded.
Who uses Alive24x7?
Alive24x7 is used by developers, IT teams, and small businesses who need to know immediately when their websites, APIs, or servers go down — without having to constantly check manually.
