SSL monitor shows WARNING but my certificate is valid
If your SSL certificate monitor shows a WARNING status but your certificate appears valid in a browser, the most common cause is that the certificate is expiring sooner than your warning threshold.
Check the expiry date
Click on the monitor in your dashboard to see the detail page. The error message will show the number of days remaining on the certificate. If this number is less than or equal to your configured warning threshold, the monitor will show WARNING.
Adjust the warning threshold
If you are happy with the current certificate and do not need to renew yet, you can lower the warning threshold in the monitor settings. For example, if your certificate expires in 10 days and your threshold is 14 days, lowering the threshold to 7 days will clear the warning.
However, we recommend keeping the threshold at least 14 days to give yourself enough time to renew before the certificate actually expires.
Renew your certificate
The best resolution is to renew the certificate. Contact your hosting provider or certificate authority to start the renewal process. Once the new certificate is deployed, the monitor will return to UP status within the next check cycle.
