Understanding roles: Owner, Admin, Viewer
Alive24x7 uses three roles to control what each person in your account can see and do.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full access to everything — add and delete monitors, manage team members, view incidents, manage maintenance windows, and manage billing and subscription. There is one Owner per account (the person who created it). |
| Admin | Can add, edit, and delete monitors, manage maintenance windows, and view incidents and check history. Cannot manage billing or remove the Owner. |
| Viewer | Read-only access. Can view monitors, check history, incidents, and public status pages. Cannot create, edit, or delete anything. |
Changing a team member's role
Go to the Team page, find the team member, and use the role dropdown to change their role. The change takes effect immediately.
The Owner role cannot be transferred. If you need to change the account owner, please contact support at 24x7@bissano.com.au.
